Nipple Reconstruction

Nipple reconstruction is done after the reconstructed breast has had time to heal, usually 3 or 4 months after breast reconstruction surgery. Whether or not you have your nipple rebuilt, you have the option to have a nipple tattoo.

The procedure is typically performed under local anaesthesia as an outpatient surgery. You may experience some discomfort for few days after surgery which can be managed with pain medication. You can expect to return to work after few days of recovery, as you should feel more like yourself. You should avoid strenuous activity for at least three weeks.

Having performed thousands of Breast surgeries, Dr. Menesi is an experienced Cosmetic Breast Surgeon. Many women who have undergone breast reconstruction by Dr. Menesi remark on the beautiful symmetry, natural shape, and inconspicuous scars.
